I like Vic's voice, but its kind of scary because sometimes I find myself talking like him.

I don't doubt Mandy's "legitimate". I pretty much assume 99% of the guests are telling the truth, they seem convincing enough to ME anyway... If Vic's doing his job, they're all vetted long before they make it on the show. I just can't stand listening to her. There are a few guests I just find unlistenable for one reason or another. For her it was the whining. Albeit, my sympathy reserves have been artificially reduced to near zero over the years due to... Experiences... Lol. Then it was the attacking... See, I am the father of 4 children whom I was not responsible for bringing into the world, and yet, I am the one who is raising them, because their parents didn't WANT them... So when I hear an ADULT, whining and crying because her daddy SAID something he perhaps shouldn't have 30 years ago, acting like she had it rough when last I checked he provided her with her own bed, in her own room and a roof over her head, I get irritated. I recall her saying that her dad had said she overreacts to things... Well I think I would have to agree. So yes, daddy issues, and emotional issues unrelated to dogman. Unlistenable. But hey, I'm ex military and a truck driver, not a grief counselor... To be honest, I found Vic to be unlistenable for a little while too, but the information was too important, and so after a while I didn't mind the voice changer thing he uses. My wife still hates it though, lol. She won't listen unless its a really juicy revealing episode. I liked the last show too, the UK investigator. I really like how open minded he is, just going off the evidence. He doesn’t use a voice changer, unless he used one eight years ago on a blogtalk radio podcast called Campfire Shadows. Hopefully this code works and the player pops up, but take a listen: He sounds exactly the same then as now. Just saying. The code didn’t work. Here’s a link. www.blogtalkradio.com/campfire_shadows/2010/03/11/beth-heikkinen

There hasn’t been much activity here lately. I wanted to provide a place for people who like the radio show mentioned in the title of this post/thread. There already exists a thread critical of the host. The host stays out of the way for the most part and tries to help, so far as I can tell. I don’t think he deserves to be any kind of target among people interested in discussing a strange creature, encounters with which are the subject of his radio show. Accordingly, this thread I would like to use for people who want to discuss the often captivating and memorable interviews that the host conducts on his show. I was wondering if you remember which episode is about the guy that lives in the Austin Tx. area? I have a friend that lives there and he would like to listen to the show. Thanks

Yes the guy is hispanic and he says they have DM around their property in the woods, and he is out deer hunting and has an encounter, and has to get to his truck and leave quickly.

This guys *could* sound *a bit* hispanic (I suppose) but not really, and I don't hear he jumped in his truck as I scan through it, but otherwise it has "deer" in it and the description is it's in Texas: Episode 47. Joel Harvey.

Been forever since I've been on here, started using my wife's old phone and it doesn't like this website for some reason... I am sad to hear he took down the story with girl and the gypsy people... That story was one of my favorites but if its BS it's BS. I'm also sad I couldn't tell the difference, shame on me.
However, I did do a search on her later because I think she came on coast to coast or something and she, as a person, seemed way out there... Like, I wouldn't believe anything she said about anything really. So had I known that before I probably wouldn't have bought into her story. Either way, I like having open forums for people to "tell their story", but the liars DO kind of make the whole idea kind of counter productive... Sigh...

It's a real shame when we get the liars. It's the same with ghosts, so many people fake it that it ruins the actual evidence that exists, but it's bound to happen anyway. At least Vic took the video down and said why, there's plenty of channels that wouldn't. But yeah, I was buying into it too.

Funny how it goes, I heard the woman tell the story of the radio and gypsys, thought it was bs from the get go, It was how she told the tale, cadence, tone something-- didn't sound right. listened anyway. We each have our meters tuned differently I suppose. Some stories that I hear sound full on legit, only to learn others think differently.

Very true, although it's a good thing we're all talking about it here. At least we can talk about each others thoughts and such, plus we tend to do our own research into it as well, which helps a lot. I have to say, for a site dedicated to talking about werewolves, we're actually pretty down to earth lol

Episode 309 is the report of an CO encounter that happened the week prior so still quite fresh for the witness and obvious in his re-telling. Guy is in tears a few times-- remote family cabin-- his wife, mother and 2 daughters there and a bipedal wolf at the window. A lot of weight on the shoulders of the guy. Fearing for one's family in a situation like that would bring most to tears in the retelling, once the adrenaline subsides. Unless he was working on his acting skills, methinks it's legit. Anyone listen and have a BS meter light up?

Yeah, when grown men break down and cry live on air I have a hard time believing they're just acting to get on a show, and for what? Attention? I mean it's a thing, and it happens, but I try to give the benefit of the doubt. I'd vote truth. Good episode either way.
