Hello everyone. I have only recently found out about Dogman. I live in the UK and of course am wondering if we have dogman here as well. I hope not as this changes everything I knew about our natural surroundings... just came across this video. I am not sure if you have seen it. Is this a large black wolf you think? Also I am curious where this was filmed.. youtu.be/5w3iVp84ToA

Hi hertzvanrental, I'm from the UK too! Yeah, that's a good video, definitely an odd one. It would seem we do have dogmen here as well, there's been a few UK callers on Dogman Encounters Radio that have talked about this stuff, especially up in Scotland or over in Wales. It's a funny moment when you realise that the world around you is actually far more mysterious that society wants to believe. I used to go hiking and trail running on my own up in mountains, not even knowing about dogmen or really believing in bigfoot. Now though, it just makes you wonder how close you might have been to this kind of stuff all along.

Hi Con. I am in the southeast close to Gatwick Airport. indeed having found out about this creature, the natural world is suddenly a different place. The Horsham encounter intrigues me as I used to live there...I am wondering if it is possible the Dogman has been seeded by something or someone for some sinister reason. Dogman does not seem to resemble any other creature in the animal kingdom. Its alleged intelligence is very unsettling and made me wonder what it actually is....

Hi hertzvanrental! Yeah, when you start to look into it and see that kind of stuff, it makes things a little strange. Suddenly all those times I used to go hiking on my own take on a slightly sinister vibe.
I don't personally think it was seeded by anyone or anything myself. It seems real and intelligent, so I'd say they've either always been around or have come from somewhere else, perhaps a parallel universe, but that's an out-there kind of theory anyway. The other possibility that I keep coming back to, is that they might actually be werewolves, but there's also evidence against that so I don't know. There are some stories I've heard on the net about these guys being found around places in the wild where discarded clothing was found, or in some cases the dogmen have been found wearing torn clothing, but I can't substantiate that so take that for what you will. Josh Turner talks about it on his show Paranormal Round Table on YouTube if you want to look into that.

Most wolves aren't that "robust", they are very lanky and have thick coats which don't lay down like a dog's does so they often look much bigger. Outside of the business end they're not much of a brawler, though their jaws are not to be taken lightly even in respect to other apex predators in the animal kingdom. They are essentially scavengers, but very smart ones which will chase or trap their prey until it succumbs to exhaustion or the pack can simply overpower it. They are fickle and extremely cautious normally. If you ever get to see one in the wild by chance you are extremely lucky.
The animal in the original video seems to be about twice the size of that malamute/husky, which is big for a wolf but not at all unreasonable. It's unreasonable why both animals look so large in relation to the trees, though. Makes me wonder if the video has been manipulated or is an optical illusion of sorts. Most folks in the US have full-size refrigerators, a normal full grown grey wolf could reach a cookie jar sitting on top of it. They are proportionately more like greyhounds than GSD, but with a large coat and can often be much taller. The animal in the video does not behave like a normal wolf at all. Personally, I don't find this video compelling and am pretty sure it's bunk as cryptid evidence, though of course I don't know and am certainly no wolf or dogman expert.
But yes, dogman (specifically werewolves) and wolves are as ubiquitously European as they are Native American.

Jack, That is very observant, I also noticed that the foreground was a little too blurry, and that made me suspicious although I don't know anything about editing video. The behavior to me was that of another dog, and they were playing, because I think a wolf of that size could have killed that dog, in about a half of a second. The face of the animal kind of looked like a pig but it did have a tail, although it oddly keeps wrapping its tail around its body maybe to keep it from getting bitten.
Once when deer hunting in Hondo Texas, I saw a red wolf come by my tree stand, and when I moved I was sitting in an office chair that squeaked and the wolf dove behind a tree, and then started looking at me, then he ran to the next bush and stopped, behind it and was looking at me again then he took off.
This was a wolf about 6 feet long from nose to butt, not including the tail, I would say his back was a little over 3 foot high close to or at the height of my hips, his fur was a nice red with some black mixed in. I understand they are very rare.
The guy I was hunting with asked me if I saw the glowing red eyes above the fence post, next to the trail we were walking down that morning on our way out to the hunting locations, and I said no I did not but he was walking in front of me, so I asked him what it was and he said he did not know, so I asked if he shinned his flash light on it and he said no he does not mess with those things, that he had seen them before.
I know that red wolves are not supposed to be that large, but believe me this one was. When I saw it, it made me glad that I was up off of the ground in a box type deer stand.
