The dragging of 300m is something of lions and black bears, that is within their normal distance that they drag. If it was feral dogs or coyotes that kiddo would have been bit up a lot and it's a mess. There shouldn't be any lions (African/Asiatic) or cats of that size around, but bears are an option. If I remember right brown bears will or can drag prey up to a 1/4 mile. I think what gets me is that there is very few details which is typical in the attacks that are mentioned, to notify the public of something, but nothing further which is sadly telling. I remember a few weeks later they said canine DNA was found, but then again the kiddo might have petted a dog or even a dog stumbles upon the body. I dunno something very disturbing that no one gave a crap or went out and investigated, in my world that is tougher to hear or see than the disturbing nature of a child losing their life.
