Good logic. He would be wore out looking for free meals. Lol. From years of hunting I know animals don't die easy. Unless you get a good brain shot things just don't go down. I always go for a good head shot when hunting. Under duress those body shots seemed like a better plan. We're all here because we some some weird ass shit. At one point or other in our lives. Got to thinking that my Area was the stomping ground for the Miami Indian tribes. They seemed to see weird stuff all the time. All sorts of myths. From werewolfs to deer people to elves. Ya never know what's out there man

Update.. Walking the dog last night before bed, 1100 ish. Heard what sounded like a deer getting f-ed up by something coming from neighbors house area. I know the sound of a deer distress from hunting and hitting one with a truck. I started walking toward the edge on my property. I had a 1000 lumen light. And a fn 5.7 pistol with a 800 lumen light on it.. And big dog on leash. Dog didn't want to go that way and I was kinda dragging him along. Got to the edge of the property and it had stopped. I said hey anyone there . Thinking maybe it was someone hunting. But me shining my light and trying to yell to them got no response. They had a tree stand set up for years near the back edge of our property's going into a big Field. But no one was in it. What should I be looking for?

You're sure your neighbor is human right??!! Were you able to get over to find a kill site? I'd look for he usual: tracks, blood, hair, bones-- including how the breaks look, if any and whether they were gnawed upon and by what size tooth. If you've an anomalous critter around, I gather it knows some of your habits and odds are, your whereabouts upon approach. It's fast, but the light may be more powerful than the 5.7! If it were me scoping out that scene, I'd want something quite a bit heavier in the odd event...Keep us posted.

I don't go on others property. I don't know man. I know that sound of a deer getting eaten. It sounded like it was on her back porch. I'm all about blasting a werewolf. I plan on camping out when the weather's not 20 degrees. I plan on setting up on that side of the property . Running recon so to speak .

Let's not let our imaginations get the better of us and anybody do anything stupid, right?

Let's not let our imaginations get the better of us and anybody do anything stupid, right? Not a chance. I'm a very level headed guy. Just trying to figure some weirdness out.

No offense intended. With due diligence, I read from an analytical standpoint and you'd be surprised (or maybe not) what "they" consider to be a "threat." We just have to be careful how we phrase things sometimes or of the context and how things might be taken, if we want to avoid attention we don't want.
We are probably all on one list or another but I try to minimize that.
The other day someone sent me a joke picture text with a plate of baked beans and hardboiled eggs on it. The caption was "How to make a nuclear (I won't use the word)." It didn't make it to my mailbox. It still never arrived in my mailbox. I told them not to use those kind of words. That friend thinks it's a joke or a paranoid flight of fancy, but it's not. ... and there's probably some geek in the basement of a liquid-cooled server farm in Utah salivating, feverishly tapping keys and correlating every person I've ever emailed, texted, or spoken to right now.... We are way past 1984.

If they're out there, the DM has been around for a long time so we're obviously co-existing ok. They may nab the occasional homo-notso-sapien but surely they are not out to kill humans or we'd all know someone who had been. Point being, consider throttling back on the blasting a werewolf notion and shoot only in a clearly defensive situation. That's probably how you'd approach it anyway but other folks will read this. The stories are out there where folks shoot at a creature out of fear of the unknown. Possibly why the DM reportedly terrorize witnesses-- previously poor PR. It could end up as the stories from the Navajo often do-- shot an upright tall lanky wolf only to find the body of my uncle... Find out what it is, could be an interesting element to the neighborhood and everyone could all get along and sing Kumbaya, if not sounds as if you have the means to deal.
It has been cold out there, when I was through last week I camped on the edge of a cornfield about 10 mi S of Salt Fork SP, 22° I was happy to have the diesel fired heater to warm up the rover before climbing out of my bag in the morning. WY was 5° and blowing 50mph--that's hotel weather.

I was just stating how huge it would be the guy who capped a real dogman, Bigfoot or alien...instant millionaire selling that body to science... Or probably the gov would swoop in and take it. Do I think my neighbor is a dogman. No. I'm not a delusional quack. But a big haired dude or chick naked running across the property didn't strike me as normal.

@d-rock - I don't think you're a quack. Just thinking ahead to how someone might misinterpret what we write. I've been on forums a long time and talked to a lot of people on a lot of subjects. Seeing some things I've seen lately, I'm shocked at how quickly what we say online is scooped-up and misinterpreted. Then the men in black shoes with white socks show up. Makes me want to crawl under a rock somewhere.

I live in Northern KY, not too far from where you are, Ive been doing some research on a 2008 incident in my city of a 'werewolf/dogman' sighting that was seen with clothing on...I posted an ad to a Facebook group dedicated to the city I live in, and I got a few VERY interesting replies. One guy who grew up in Beechgrove area of Independence, KY, says in the mid 80s when he was a tween, he and his friends witnessed a guy rolling around on the ground in agony at a nearby house, he claims they saw this guy changing form, claws were slowly coming out of his fingers, hair was starting to cover his upper body and saw his mouth open, lots of blood and canine teeth were seen. He said they only saw this for about 5 minutes and said it was a very slow process, but it was something they could see progressing, the guys mother came out of the house and ran them off, telling the kids that her son was 'sick' and to leave him alone.
I thought he was joking at first, so I PM'd him and he replied that he was serious and this incident had caused him quite a bit of emotional problems over the years, I got the impression there was more to the story, but he didnt know me and I guess he was nervous about spilling his guts to someone he just met over the internet, I did tell him Id like to talk again so hopefully I will learn more about this once he gets to know me and knows Im not some wack job from the internet! He did tell me he got the distinct impression this was somehow associated with 'religion'...Im not sure what he meant by that though.
Another guy also PM'd on the FB post, and told me a similar story from when he and his wife were on vacation in New Orleans about 25 yrs ago, they had seen a younger guy 'changing form', into a werewolf looking thing, they didnt stick around to watch it all,( he also mentioned that it looked to be a slow process), and the guy was grunting and banging his fists on the ground in pain, they saw it thru some kind of wooden privacy fence, but from where they were, they could see thru the boards, he didnt give me too many details, but I did PM him back, introducing myself and asking him if he wouldnt mind talking to me personally about it, so hopefully I can get more details.
When I first learned of these 'Dogmen', I was under the impression they were just normal animals, and that seems to be the prevailing theory (even on Vic Cundiffs show, Dogman Encounters), but Im starting to think there may be something else going on with these things, Im not saying ALL Dogmen are humans under some curse/affliction, but I think some of them are...Im going to try to start to do some research on this.

rstevens - I don't know what I think they are, but I agree it seems to me they are not just another flesh & blood species. Neither is bigfoot. I think there is something more to these things. It's very difficult to sort out what is credible and what is not, but with so many seemingly credible people coming forward, I don't think they are misidentifications or figments of people's imaginations that's for sure.
