Lori, What makes you think she might be having encounters with them? Do you have any idea what they might be? How do you feel about her having encounters with them, and may I ask her age?

Welcome to the NADP forum, Lori.
We'd love to hear the accounts of your daughter's experience(s), and/or your thoughts on it, as dogflabber said.

Welcome to the club Lori502. Let us know what you are experiencing there when you've a minute. The sightings map below shows activity in the Louisville area, clicking on the red dots gets the report. This map is by no means comprehensive BTW.

My daughter is 30 and back in October or early November 2020 she was about three blocks from home driving down St Anthony's church road at about 8-8:30 pm and this road is rual and very dark except for the light on at a cemetery you pass and that's when she noticed something darker than a shadow and huge go across that whole cemetery in a matter of seconds which scared her enough to call me as soon as she got home to tell me and how this was so upsetting to her that she was sick to her stomach. She was bothered by this and experience nightmares and her and I were surprised how this had shaken her up so much. She still at the time never heard of dogmen,so a couple days later she was walking down across the road to mailbox and a small creek with a wooded area on both sides across from where she walks and she said something or someone was watching her and when she walked it walked when she stopped it stopped walking too and she experiences the same feeling in stomach when she sees nothing or no one in the wooded area since she's looking right through the wooded area because it's not thick as it was in the summer and she said that she could not hear anything no nothing and that freaked her out really bad since nothing has ever happened to her like this before except for riding past cemetery a few nights before. But anyways she hurried up and went back to her house and called and told me that she's being stalked by something that's gotta be paranormal since it's invisible.Thats when I told her that it could be a dogman

Thanks for that Lori. Yeah it sounds like it would give a good scare. Could she describe the shape of the shadow? What she saw was the thing itself, not its shadow correct? She saw it run across the cemetery as a figure of sorts or more like a wave of darkness? It's been over a month, has any other activity been experienced?
If I have it right, you look over a guardrail into the cemetery which is on an up slope with a pavilion of sorts? to the right and a garage/utility shed to the Left? It ran across that stretch? It's a rural looking road but plenty of development nearby though there is a decent travel corridor to heavier woodland. It seems to be the type of habitat dogman are often encountered in. Obviously there is no way to say what it was especially if she felt it was invisible yet present enough to make the sound of footfalls. How long did she think it paralleled her? Is there any chance it was a squirrel in the leaves down low--have to ask--they can make a ruckus in dry leaves. After experiencing what she did in the cemetery and being left so shaken, the imagination can do wonders creating monsters. I don't say that to make light or to imply doubt, we have to rule out the obvious.
If your daughter has a good intuitive sense and can be sure it wasn't residual fear creating threatening situations and she is fairly certain something was there and was following her, well I'd say be very careful about walking there alone and not at night (unless you just need to find an answer). Dogman encounter reports, probably 95% of them, follow a pattern of terrifying the witness and leaving it at that. It's the one's we don't hear that are the problem! Just be careful and for kicks, have her carry a camera visibly and at the ready--I still think that's the best defense against cryptids. Please keep us posted of any developments or more insights from her experience. Be careful and good luck.
Her story brings to mind a similar one I/we experienced quite a while back: My girlfriend at the time was staying over at my place out in rural MD. It was an old farmhouse converted into 4 apartments. She couldn't sleep. Unbeknownst to me, she got up at about 2am and went out for a walk in the cemetery at the edge of this little crossroad hamlet, three houses down and on both sides of the street. She came back in and woke me in an amped mood, obviously spooked. She had seen a very large, very fast moving shadow dart among the stones where there was no light to create it. She instantly smelled gardenias, which weren't present. I got up and we went back to have a look. Didn't see or smell anything. About 2 months later, I'm asleep in my bedroom which is in the center of the house, no windows so it's always dark with the door closed, about 18' long and maybe 8' wide. My small bed is up against the long back wall. Door at the foot of bed and facing it but off to the front side, closet 5' from the head. Sometime around 2-3 am I awake instantly, sit up and slam my back to the wall in high alert as a dark shadow of a figure, visible in the near total darkness, walks through the closed bedroom door, glides past my bed and through the closet door. After a few astounded minutes I checked the closet, the rest of the apt and out front along the narrow long porch--nada.
