Here's something I just found that you guys might like to take a look at. I haven't heard of this guy so I don't know anything about him, but it's interesting nonetheless. www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYTlSdm8gn8Any thoughts on this one?

The only part that makes me not believe in it is how he lost contact with the woman reporting it. If that was me, I'd be on that case like a fly in a sticky toffee pudding. Everything else seems similar to the Stripes case, which would put more stock in it if he'd have kept contact with the lady and got more details, or even had her on as well.

Con, Thanks for sharing.
I'm not drawing any conclusions mind you, but based solely on this podcast Mr. Doss belongs to a particular subset of cryptid researchers which is apparently growing.
Namely the folks who speak on the subject under a mantle of authoritative expertise and confidence that has absolutely no quantitative justification. I don't mean this in a derogatory fashion, I simply don't understand how someone can state with firm conviction that they've been taught "to ignore the peripherals and get close to the creature" yet still be somehow unable to provide a single shred of verifiable evidence after years in the field.
I realize this is beginning to sound uncomfortably like a rant. Rather it's an expression of frustration at having hiked miles of trails and struggled for endless hours with the "Is it/ isn't it" question while poring over possible evidence and deconstructing witness statements without even being able to say categorically that Dogman exists.
The fact is, I genuinely want to know the answer and have no problem throwing a wet blanket on anyone who tells me the moon is made of cheese while exhibiting a plate of empty crackers.

Whitefeather, I absolutely agree with you.
There are so many fakers out there and it's starting to grind my gears. Then there's people that claim themselves "experts" on this stuff, which is impossible given that these things aren't openly declared "real" so there's not way to even be an expert on them because of that.
But it's the people who fake it that annoy me. There's ghost hunters and cryptid investigators out there who've, like you, poured countless hours of their lives into investigations, maybe even turned up a few interesting tidbits of information, but still haven't been able to say outright that these things exist. Then there's people who go out there, get "evidence" and go "hey look I've found it!" only for them to have faked the whole thing, which puts a negative light on anyone who says they've had an encounter with these things or the paranormal, or those who genuinely investigate it.
Myself, I've had a few encounters but I can't say with absolute certainty that they were paranormal. All I can say is, they were definitely out of the norm. But I've met people, as I've said before, who are the most stand up people and have had professional jobs as psychologists, soldiers, or any other honest profession, who've turned to me with a straight face, looked me in the eye and told me of their encounter.
I'm almost 100% certain this stuff is out there and is very real, but it does get exhausting dealing with all of the fakery. Also, sorry for the long rant there, but to sum it all up I do agree with you absolutely.
