Any Portuguese/Spanish speaking people from South America here?
In Brazil we have a funny-looking kind of dogman. By reading lots of encounters online and from stories I've heard from ppl, I realized that many of them describe the same "werewolf", even though it doesn't look like the typical werewolf.
It's a creature that walks on its 4. Its elbows are so low they almost touch the ground, some ppl said the creature even walked on its elbows. Also, they are often described as having really long, dangling ears, and the rear legs are much longer than the arms.
A funny popular belief is that if you suspect that someone is a werewolf, you should look at their elbows, if they are sore, that person is a werewolf.
I've also read encounters with the typical dogman.
Werewolf is a popular legend here. I don't know when it was introduced in the county, but I guess by Italian and German immigrants in the 1800s.

Are you referring to the "Lobizón"?

Are you referring to the "Lobizón"? Lobizon is simply Spanish for werewolf. We don't speak Spanish in Brazil, so we don't call them that. Anyway I Googled the term and found this:
Similar to what I described.
