My first post, apologies if I screw this up.
Location: I live in western wa and there aren't too many sightings around here that I have heard about, but PLENTY of bigfoot stuff. Should I forget about coming across one of these things over here?
Territory: Seems like enough people agree that there is a supernatural element to this phenomenon, so here's my thinking... If one was to try to isolate a location likely to produce a sighting of one of these creatures, would you choose a paranormal site, or one with the right physical environment? For example, they seem to be spotted around graveyards and indian burial mounds, that seems to track with Anubis god of the underworld, paranormal type thing. Or do you just look for a swampy area or water source with lots of wild life? Mount Rainier both has a lot of both paranormal (UFO) activity, big foot, deep woods, wild life and also missing persons as of late...
Tactics: Bait? Whistling through the woods alone at night? Predator calls? Walking in the woods WITHOUT a camera???
My purpose for this post is simply to learn more about this phenomenon and share whatever I might find out firsthand. I learn all I can on the internet but nothing beats boots on the ground. It is not my intention to try to "kill" one of these creatures, however it is my intention to find evidence. I am very well armed (all the time) and trained, but I can't say I have a death wish, or a 50 bmg for that matter... And speaking of which, anyone catch that episode of dogman encounters with the contractor who hunted one of these down with his contractor buddies? They said the shot the hell out of it and nothing made it blink till they hit it with the .338 lapua, twice, that apparently knocked it down and made it scared. They said they sent the hair and blood off for testing but I have not heard anything further on that, that was episode 90 something if I recall, I'm only up to 204 though so maybe one of you know.
Anyway, great site, great forum, great mystery, hopefully through this collaborative effort we can all come a little closer to understanding what the hell is going on on this planet. Take care
