From what I was able to come up with by calling the local Sheriff's Dept. the Sheriff truly believed it was a Mt. Lion attack on the horses. No forensic study was done on the horses, KDFWR took the bodies for disposal. Person that owned the animals was accused of stabbing them for insurance purposes by KDFWR. Sheriff got on several news channels and gave a facebook page warning to local residents to stay alert and keep kids inside and under foot and eye. He believed that it was a large predatory animal most likely a Mt. Lion that killed the horses. I tried to call and get a copy of the sheriff's report on the incident but was told by the staff on duty that day that no report was made since no criminal activity had took place. KDFWR was accusing the man that owned the horses of killing them but the Sheriff thought it was animal attack.......... No investigation or forensic study was conducted of the horses or dogs that got killed. If no report was made by the Sheriff's office and KDFWR also made no report of the incident then that means something is up considering that KDFWR did have a biologist come out and look at the area and the animals killed. That was the end of it as far as the Sheriff will tell and the animals were taken to be buried or burned. It was basically a rushed quick investigation by the KDFWR and a real quick rush to get it all done and over with in a hurry cause the likely event was a large predatory animal attack either from #1 Mt. Lion or the secondary culprit #2 Unknown biological entity UBE Predatory in nature, unkown at this time. Use your own judgment on this one...........is it Dogman? Is it Mt. Lion? Either way KDFWR decided the public did not need much info so they rushed it and got it all shut down real quick and fast.
