Very interesting and a rugged, yet well visited area! Was there even a search made?

Eoin Sorry for the long wait for a reply, a bunch of things happened in my life. There was a search from what I can gather, but it must have been done by police units only as I haven't heard anything about civilians looking for him. He hasn't said anything about why he disappeared, but he was taken to the hospital which is standard procedure anyway. It could be that he went out to take his own life, or maybe had a mental breakdown whilst out there, which might explain why the police haven't said anything about why he went missing in the first place, but who knows. It's also entirely possible something strange happened, Scotland's got a lot of weirdness in its countrysides.

Lots of people who engage in hill walking. It keeps the search and rescue very busy! I hope all is well with you and yours my friend!

Yep, lots of hill walkers out there. December of last year, a couple of guys decided to hike up one of the mountains dressed in only a T-shirt, shorts and one compass. Needless to say, it never went well and Search and Rescue had to be called out.
Thank you! You too.

Fort William becomes a haven for professionals and non professionals who have to be rescued from Ben Nevis each year. Beautiful but deadly if one is not prepared technically for the mountain or the weather.

For sure. Where I used to live, it was a lot warmer and the mountains were lower, so climbing up them never really resulted in a massive temperature difference. I haven't been able to go hiking anywhere here in Scotland in a really long time, but from what little I remember as a kid, it was super cold. It can definitely get you if you aren't prepared.
