I would like to open a discussion on possible methods of eliciting a response from dogman. Namely animal calls might be useful as in any hunting scenario, they're widely used to draw in animals.
Below are some questions to help get the discussion rolling. Please feel free to add more questions as I am looking for expanding the scope of possibilities.
Would it be best to use a prey call or injured animal call to elicit a response? Injured prey noises are widely used when hunting predators such as a coyote.
Yip, bark and howls can be effective at eliciting a response from wolves, coyote and other canines. Would your average store bought call work or a modified one to more appropriately match the more eerie scream howl claimed to be heard from dogmen?
Again, please feel free to add questions yup expand upon from here!

Years ago,I was part of a Bigfoot research group doing call blasting late at night deep in a PA State Forest. We played recordings of various primate vocalizations & purported Bigfoot vocalizations. Several hours passed with no responses to the recordings but when a recording of a crying human infant was played, we got an immediate response on the first try. It was absolutely not what we expected, as the response was a canine howl. It sounded just like a wolf. We got only the one response even though we blasted the recording at intervals repeatedly for the next couple of hours. It's worth a try.

I've read claimed experiences of crytid and paranormal experiences near or in the woods, people have heard crying babies. Wonder if it's some type of luring mimic or something else.

You're welcome, bryanb.I have another suggestion.Try cooking aromatic food like bacon, sausages, fish, etc. Cook continuously in very small amounts at a time, so as to keep the aroma going downwind for as long as possible. Just be ready for whatever might emerge from the forest & watch your 360°!

I have about 2 dozen Sasquatch reports where people have reported hearing what sounds like a crying child, either before or after the sighting. I personally think that this is a way to try and lure the person closer, for what reason I do not know. The effect it usually has is to drive the witness out of the area.

I've encountered some of those reports too.

bryanb, have you been trying to lure upright canines with calls and/or cooking aromas? What are the results of your attempts? We have been finding evidence of Bigfoot visitations here in Southwestern Pennsylvania, in both the mountains & the foothills, but this area doesn't seem to be Dogman territory.

I started this thread with the goal of getting a conversation going between as many people as possible. I am hoping over time enough people chime in with suggestions, opinions, witness reports on sounds/smells and possible tools that may be used to elicit a dogman response. Hopefully, with enough collaboration, we can zero in on best chance techniques that are worth the try.

Guys, I wish I had something to contribute to this conversation but I'm out of ideas.

I remember hearing about specific screams/howls that were not very different from a cougar scream. With the exception of a definitive underlying howl.
If anyone has ever used coyote callers, most utilize a reed. It'd be interesting to modify a caller to match more closely the supposed scream these creatures make.
There also exists reports of these dogmen hanging around packs of coyote or coyote following them. This leads to the possibility that coyote and dogmen at least coexist together in a way. Quite possible just a regular coyote caller might illicit a dogman response or draw one in to check things out.

Some tribes of American Indians (First Nations,Native Americans,Indigenous Americans) believe that whistling at night will attract "things" to you.
