A couple more including other countries:
Europe (Germany): www.thesun.co.uk/news/9075436/mysterious-hyper-aggressive-amber-eyed-animal-rips-open-campers-tent-savages-him-bizarre-attack-germany/
There are wolves and bobcats in Germany not saying that's what it is but a competent investigator should have been able to figure out what creature was probably the culprit. The scratches don't look bad the opening where the animal tore the tent is kind of high though if it's a two man tent it might be 3 feet high (looks like you can sit comfortably) so two or so feet off the ground the tear starts. Single large tear in the tent btw.
An example of a canine attack : www.thecourierexpress.com/news/local/coyote-mauls-brookville-woman/article_1eaabdcc-9b7e-5c9a-a890-251f62bc16d3.html
The animal attacked her from a nearby bush, biting her numerous times.
Borneo: www.theborneopost.com/2012/11/15/villagers-mystified-by-strange-animal/
The animal that attacked the duo was described as having a ‘bear and wild boar’ resemblance. Fellow workers and villagers who saw the carcass, brought by the Indonesian, could not identify the animal species.
.... The victim alleged that the animal stood up on its hind legs when charging at him. He immediately swung his sickle, killing the animal instantly.

I am going to make an alert on Google if any new stories of strange or unknown animal attacks appear.
That's definitely a Borneo Sun bear cub. I just saw a documentary about it about a young cub that was abandoned, and the owner had it's canines removed and had to live in a conservation area. Then they noticed the canines growing back, since apparently, the milk teeth were the ones removed, so now it could be released back into the wild once it was old enough. The cub looked exactly like this one in the picture.
