Wow, this is my neck of the woods! Do you think they are still in the area?

Oh probably they are there I wish I had an idea of time of the year (just listened to it btw). It's an interesting description btw a cynocephaly super interesting iirc from historical accounts they live in "villages" basically.

I am not convinced that 'werewolves' exist. I'm talking the holywood type that are a human being who can transform into an anthropomorphic wolf or other animal. It sounds cool and I wish it were true, but I can't believe that unti I see it. If that were the case 'AnthroCon' would take on a whole new meaning ...(the current or ex furries will get this..hehe)

The Bremerton episode of Vic Cundiff's Dogman Encounters is probably the strangest one I have heard, and I have listened to just about all 350+ of them. Since Vic tries hard to get credible witnesses, I think we have to take the story seriously -- unlike a lot of other dogman stories from other sources. The dog headed-man spotted in the story in unlike any other dogman that I can recall from other episodes or from any other sources. It was either paranormal or a misremembered and exaggerated recollection. Apparently nothing like that has been seen in Bremerton, Washington before or since.

Something stated by the witness that struck me as a bit off: She says she looked at him for 5 minutes. Vic tries to correct her by saying 5 seconds felt like 5 minutes. She responds: no, it was more like 3 minutes. That's a helluva long time to stare at something close range before you scream and run. This brings to mind an effect of smoking certain leafy substances. Time is often enriched, not stretched per se, but more info is gathered per second. It can feel as if one was partaking of an activity far longer than one was. And it was 3am-- maybe that says something, maybe it doesn't.
It's hard to judge some witnesses on Vic's show. She may have been nervous, hence the repetition IDK. I don't think she's making it up, sounds as if she believes she saw something, I wonder what, if anything may have been an influencing contributor.
While traveling, I once saw a demonic gremlin that watched me pass. Bystanders would say it was a plastic grocery bag, what do they know... I was driving down a wooded, divided, concrete highway, dead tired. The expansion joints in the road created a tha-thump, tha-thump rhythmically for miles. I'm convinced I was lulled into a hypnagogic state hence my nightmare-like vision.
An average man's body with wolf-like head--I can't prove a negative but classic werewolf mythology is REALLY difficult to accept. I would have been at the door of that house the next day just for kicks. I'm with Kiyona, wish they were real but have serious doubts.

I agree with the moderator. The strangeness of the story makes one wonder what she actually saw. She was probably sleep deprived and walking down a dark path in the middle of the night. We need more evidence that this to believe werewolves are real.

This was some time back but now 'the green leafy stuff' is completely legal in washington and you can buy it in shops on just about every corner in cities and suburbs.
The guest to me sounded either really nervous or perhaps not the sharpest tool in the shed. I don't doubt that she saw 'something' but the way she described it just sounds like nothing I've ever heard.

It's legal here in Maine too now, which is how I was able to do the research on time enrichment:) I've not heard any DM described that way either. An anomalous anomaly for sure.

Classic werewolf comes with a lot of baggage, but then in the Bible (Old Testament.. can't remember if in New Testament) God turns some people into creatures when he is upset at them (monkeys, pigs, dogs) makes me pause though because the stories are so common for dog headed men which this really sounded like. The Church even debated accepting them into the "human fold" never know.
