I've been following allbeit at a distance the evidence or in most cases lack of it,of bigfoot and the sad tv shows, etc. on this forest crypid. For decades nothing of substance has been uncovered. I fear the dogman search will meet the same sad fate...nothing other than a few blurry photos and more so called credible sightings. I admire the NADP for their scientific approach although I'm sure will unfortunately will just turn up more of the same. I'm not saying to give up although most sane people probably would. I'll continue to follow against my better judgement and hope the elusive DM will make an appearance at my local super market looking for a quick easy meal.... LoL.

I’m sorry you feel that way but you do have to keep in mind that we get to see what the people in power wants us to see. Not everyone believe that there’s men in black that keeps these under wraps. But as technology grows and people become more aware that there’s creatures out there that science hasn’t explained, it’s going to get harder and harder for the feds to keep up with the cover ups. When that person finds that gold mine of evidence, we need to be sure we are there to protect them and that evidence from the government. People need to know that there’s weird stuff going on and that the government can’t be trusted to keep all of us safe from it. We are also here to help those who have had a traumatic experience with something that others can’t or won’t take seriously. It makes a world of difference to express your terrors to someone who actually believes you. So while evidence would be nice, we’re here for more than that. Besides, it is human nature to be curious and uncover mysteries. I hope that you would share that interest with us. It’s always good to look at things from every angle and out of the box.
What brought you to NADP? And what are your thoughts of Dogmen and what kind of evidence are you looking for exactly?

Todd,
I can only speak for myself, but consider myself an open minded skeptic in regard to Dogman. At this point I don't feel comfortable accepting that such a creature exists. I also do not dismiss the possibility that they exist. Being an amateur Naturalist and spending a fair amount of time outdoors I have a personal interest in the presence of an undocumented apex predator. To date I am not aware of any conclusive evidence of their existence, on the other hand, proving a negative is much more difficult. Although some of the anecdotal evidence is persuasive it still falls short of empirical data. While it is a fact that cryptids exist (EG the Ceolecanth in 1938, and the Glyphis shark in 2002), whether dogmen in fact are an existing species remains unknown. My impression is that Dr. Melba Ketchum lent credence to the possibility with her DNA tests, verified by several independent laboratories, that her sample was of an unknown primate. Granted her focus was Bigfoot, however, her peer reviewed results can't help but ripple across the Cryptozoological landscape. Another thought I've mentioned in other posts here is that while we often seem to overlook it, evolution hasn't come to a halt and there is no reason new or hybrid animals cannot appear on the scene. I'm thinking here of the recently documented interbreeding of polar and brown bears. This phenomenon was widely believed impossible until later in the twentieth century. I guess my point is that I see no need to carry a magazine full of silver bullets, having one full of high quality hollow points though makes reasonable sense.
