I had never really seen a kangaroo hand up close and never seen one detached, until the photos.
So, yeah, it would have given me pause had I found one in that state. No apologies for that.
When I was a kid I found a cow jawbone in the woods. That gave me a start too out of the cow. What's really interesting is that I never did get an explanation as to why it was there.
And yes, the roo hand in a flat, two dimensional photo, does have an almost reptilian texture to it.
I'm not a zoologist, just a person looking for answers like others here. No apologies.
