Prairiewildman, thanks for posting those. I'd seen them but many probably hadn't. Look at this story and the pictures that woman shows. Either a hoax or maybe something truly nasty.

Disregard everybody, it's a clip from a B movie, duh. See Whitefeather's post below... I'm Sorry. I truly hate hoaxers. They waste our time. ...and it did make me feel stupid, so I guess the clown who posted the clip got his jollies for the day.

Regarding the aforementioned You Tube video of the newscast;Dark Waters (iamdarkwaters.com) has a couple of stories about the Taylor,Mississippi werewolf, one of which is his own nighttime encounter with some creature just outside of Taylor.

Thanks, Wolfhound. That case interested me as did the photo captures. I'm skeptical of everything, but I thought they showed more promise of being authentic than some I've seen.
Free content page 28/30 right?

Listen first to "Two Frightening Mississippi Dogman Stories"-28/30. Then "My Dogman Encounter,They Are Out There"-27/30. You might want to listen to "The Siege of Lockett Ranch,The Full Story"-26/30, as it takes place in that same area of northern Mississippi.

It could be a hoax based off of it, but if so, someone is going through alot of trouble to do it. Most hoaxers take the easiest path. Perhaps there is something to the DeRidder photographs after all.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news guys, but the youtube video that AG47 shared is an excerpt from the 2010 movie "Night of the Loup Garou".
It seemed odd that the station never identified itself beyond the generic channel 7 in the report. The actual channel is WDAM. No record of a reporter named Amber Maddox (any spelling) that I could find. I did find an IMBd bio for the minor actress who played Tina Bragg, only one other credit listed.
The person who posted that video most likely knew it was not genuine, exactly the type of Hoaxer that forces us to spend 80%+ of our time debunking.
I think AG47 will agree with me Prairiewildman, That this may be the most frustrating aspect of investigating Dogman.

Whitefeater, thank you. I didn't look into it, and semi-fell for it. As I said, I felt something wasn't quite right (real interviewees are just about that flaky, though). From the other clips of that movie I just watched, the one in question posted must have been the best part of the movie, lol. "Photographed in Color." That looks like one AWFUL B movie (and I like B movies). My sincere apologies to all. And you're right, posted in the context in which it was it would qualify as a hoax. I would like to kick the poster of that video clip in the shins, please.

AG47,
There is absolutely NO reason to apologize or feel stupid.
You did exactly what anyone trying to investigate a fringe subject like Dogman should do. You found a piece of questionable evidence and brought it under our scrutiny.
I think of us as a team of widely dispersed Investigators, or at least people with honest interest in the subject. There aren't many of us and networking is essential in my opinion.
Congratulations on exposing a Hoaxer! By doing that you've removed another obstacle.
I didn't note who posted the video, but I was thinking as I wrote this that maybe it would help to start a list of suspected Hoaxers somewhere on the boards. What do you think AG47?

There is no need for apologies. The creature in the movie does look somewhat like the DeRidder creature, I wouldn't be surprised if they had used the actual creature's look to build their fictional one.
And I semi fell for it too, you weren't alone in that one.
And as far as a list of hoaxers, I can give many names, dates, and hoaxed incidents concerning Sasquatch & even one hoaxed report concerning a Dogman. I keep ALL of my hoaxed reports.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the support. I thought about this today. Most hoaxers seem to think anyone who thinks beyond the little boxes they're in is a looney tune or something. I guess one of the best things I could wish for these types is that one night they step off their back porch or out of their tent and come face to face with the real deal. I wouldn't wish any harm on them, just that they would need a clean pair of drawers afterward and that the experience might shake up their paradigm. As far as publishing lists goes, we have to be careful with lists. We live in a lawsuit-happy society where quite often anything but justice is served from the bench. Commenting opinions on or critiquing materials we come across however should be fairly safe. (this is not legal advice, lol). Very little of the stills, videos, and even the stories I come across seem genuine to me, and that's on a whole bunch of subjects. I guess the anecdotes hold the highest level of interest for me so far because there are so many reports from very credible sources. That is more or less what helped me get out of the box in my own thinking. I really want to see video and/or photographic evidence on any of the "fringe" subjects from UFOs to dogman. One thing I'm doing is trying to practise with my own cameras by using them on the spur of the moment and just trying to capture a viewable shot or video of a passing aircraft, animal, etc. Practise does help develop proficiency. I actually studied photography (before digital), but had no interest in action or sports photography at the time. Now I can see developing skills in that area would be a good way to increase the odds of capturing evidence. Also, in this day of CGI and readily available special effects software/editing software, I'm immediately suspicious of anything that looks "too good." I guess that clip from the Loup Garou movie had just the right amount of flakiness to make me entertain that it might have been real (although it wasn't what I'd call real good, lol). I see a lot of pareidolia in the interpretation of imagery (particularly in wooded scenes). Our minds want to find faces in everything. We want to hear language in EVPs (how many evps have you heard where the poster swears, "It's so clear. They're saying...." and it just sounded like noise to you, no matter how hard you tried? I captured a couple myself where I thought I had some good evp phrases or words and when I played it for someone else they heard noise. So we have that factor of which we have to be vigilent also. Thanks again guys!

AG47,
Good point, any list we make that is shared, particularly one perceived as negative, would be a liability. As long as we're discussing our own personal views and opinions we should be protected by the first amendment.
I am also intrigued by the possibility of these creatures existing and would love to see empirical evidence.
On a personal note, as a smart-ass twenty year old I would have immediately discounted any werewolf claim as absurd. Now that quantum physics has invalidated many of classical physics conclusions regarding the nature of reality, I find myself typing this with a .44spl revolver close at hand as the boundaries of what is possible recede into the distance.

Excellent piece of writing, White feather. Describes where I'm at as well. I find myself entertaining a lot of things which I would have and did scoff at in the past. I like that Haldane quote that says the universe is not only stranger than we imagine but stranger than we can imagine.

I wish I could carry a handgun when I am out in the woods, but being in Canada, were are not allowed to carry them anywhere. I settle for my 12 ga Mossberg Mariner, .54 cal muzzleloader, or if I am feeling brave, my compound bow. Things that I have seen and experienced out in the woods have made me never go out there unarmed. So, I understand how you feel, Whitefeather.

Prairiewildman, I'm sorry you can't carry a handgun where you live. One good thing is that the 12 ga with appropriate loads is a very effective firearm.

I stagger .000 buckshot & lead/antimony slugs, 1:1. I have taken down black bears & a Rocky Mountains grizzly with this combination before.
