Thanks Wolf's rain,
You're absolutely right, which of course is the primary stumbling block in cryptid investigation, we don't know for certain what an actual dogman vocalization sounds like. Without a confirmed example we're stuck with approaching the matter from the other end. Namely, trying to eliminate known animals as the source.
Most of the reported behavior corresponds to a biological entity, but beyond that their physiology is completely unknown.
For what it's worth, I agree that the recording sounds genuine, but without supporting empirical evidence I don't think we're on solid enough ground to take the next step and conclude that the vocalization is in fact a dogman.

Hi Nadp. Can anyone tell me if there has been sightings of a Dogman on Cape Cod, MA?

ag47, Thanks for sharing. I honestly don't know what to make of the Skinwalker story. A dogman that is both timid and affection-seeking, exhibiting no reaction to being shot despite physical evidence that the bullet caused damage? The only explanation that seems to even remotely fit is a robotic machine covered in flesh (I'm thinking Terminator movie here), however this is so far removed from my knowledge and experience that I'm unable to add anything useful at all. My gut reaction, at the moment, is that this story is too fantastic to be anything other than a hoax, but that is only my opinion. Hi White Feather, in my humblest opinion based on my knowledge and my close association with one of the former NIDS' scientists Skinwalker and its phenomena is not a hoax. I am not at liberty to name this person but I have been in constant communication with him since 2009. This person continues to visit the ranch to this day as part of an ongoing scientific study which is looking at what he and a minority of his brethren think is of a more earthly origin. By earthly, this scientist strongly suggests that this is OUR technology at work. In fact, as far as the Dogman phenomena goes he has point blank told me there is no such thing. Yet, I recently met a gentleman who conveyed to me that the Dogman phenomena is real. This gentleman said he works for a government agency in Washington D.C. and again said - "It is all real." I cryptically (no pun intended) mentioned one aspect of my NIDS friend's government background which I knew if he was plugged in would know who I was talking about. The gentleman subsequently came back to me later and said I spend a lot time at Langley. I hope to see this gentleman again as he agreed he would definitely stop by when back in my neck of the woods. My point here is that I have two gentleman who work for the same agency who disagree on the dogman phenomena. Do we have precedent where we have diverging views from "experts" on a phenomena. I say, yes. A good example is the recent release of the Gimbal/Hornet footage which was provided by the DIA (COS is controversial) through AATIP/TTSA (Advance Aerospace Threat Interpretation Program). Here we have very large chasm between some of these scientists on what the tic-tac UAP might be. Many of these folks have had close associations with Robert Bigelow and the defunct NIDS team along with BASS members. I was told relationships going back decades between these experts have hit an all time low. In fact, some have gone their separate ways from each other. Point - Some say it is our technology and the others say it is not "human." What do they have in common? Most of these fellas were part of the Skinwalker study! Frankly, at this point I tend to lean that what is happening at the Skinwalker Ranch is not our technology. Skinwalker and its canine anomalies is what has brought me to the Dogman variable. However, I absolutely agree that evidence needs to be at hand for a highly probable conclusion whether it is UAPs or Dogman. But, after listening to Vic Cundiff's Dogman encounters there is a very high probability that many of these folks are seeing what Terry Sherman and his family experienced on the ranch. When I see my NIDS friend I would like to ask him if the SAP (Special Access Program) government is running a psy-op at Skinwalker than how does it comport with the rest of the country let alone places where dogmen have been seen elsewhere on this planet? I am fairly confident that these folks are seeing something extraordinary. Frankly, the best answer I can give regarding phenomenons in general is that they too do not know what the heck is going on. I am always open to all possibilities.

Jasper,
Thanks for your reply. I didn't intend to give the impression that my mind is closed to any possible explanation. I've described myself as an open-minded skeptic and consider that to be an accurate description of my approach to the subject. What the answer truly is I haven't the slightest. Many different hypotheses have been suggested and so far I'm not aware of any empirical evidence ruling any of them out. Being a Naturalist and Outdoorsman my viewpoint is from around the campfire so to speak. It's true that I debunked a photo submitted here, but that was a by-product of the methodology which seems most useful to me personally, namely, first trying to learn what it is not (eliminating the impossible). While I do analyze reports critically and hunt for discrepancies in them, I do this solely for the purpose of not being led astray by incorrect information.
You have avenues of inquiry which I do not, maybe through them you'll be able to learn something factual and pertinent to the dogman phenomena. If some sort of government covert operation is involved it certainly won't be me that brings it to light, the same is true if elements of the phenomena are extra-terrestrial. Those things are far outside the scope of my knowledge, and I have absolutely no means of investigating along those routes.
If I may end with a caveat, while I am open to the possibility that they exist (regardless of origin) reason dictates that I must also remain open to the possibility that they do not.

Whitefeather, thank you for your reply. I think your approach is sound and fair. FYI, those in need-to-know positions who may have more information on whatever phenomena we try to wrap our brains around I find that they too end up around the campfire with the rest of us. I look forward to your posts in the future.
